Pastor — Rev. Elizabeth Magill
Rev. Elizabeth Magill (Liz) is our Interim Pastor. She grew up Methodist, found Jesus with the Presbyterians, went to Episcopal Divinity School (’02), is ordained with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and has standing with the United Church of Christ. Why have one denomination when there are so many good ones? Liz is a small Church specialist and focuses on how we can be a community that is the Body of Christ for the world. For fun she does crafts of all sorts, especially quilting and sewing, but also beading, painting, collage, and whatever new thing is in vogue. Liz also loves downhill skiing and walking. She is in Acton two days a week but available anytime at email@example.com.
Director of Music — Ed Rosser
Edward Rosser has been at South Acton Congregational Church since 1991, soon after earning his Master’s Degree in Piano Performance at Boston University, where he studied with Anthony di Bonaventura. In addition to a varied career as pianist and teacher, he enjoys bringing classical piano music to the streets: summers will see him playing a real piano in Harvard Square, or in colder weather, playing a digital keyboard in the subway. He is also committed to making recordings–most recently, he completed an all-Schubert CD and is finishing a recording of Grieg’s Lyric Pieces.
